GlassDock Privacy Policy

GlassDock is a macOS app that replaces or complements the system Dock with a glass panel containing your apps and widgets. It is designed to work entirely on your Mac.
What GlassDock collects
Nothing. GlassDock has no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising. It never transmits personal data to the developer or to any third party.
Data that stays on your Mac
The following is stored only in the app's local settings on your Mac and never leaves it:
- The apps, folders, files and links you pin, and your dock profiles
- Widget settings (for example your focus duration, chosen city, stock symbol, sticky note text, water count)
- Calendar events and reminders are read through Apple's EventKit only to display them in the dock; they are not stored or sent anywhere.
Permissions GlassDock may ask for
Each permission is requested only when you enable the related feature, and can be withdrawn at any time in System Settings.
- Calendars / Reminders – to show your next event and open reminders.
- Notifications – for the Focus timer and Alarm widgets.
- Automation (Music, Spotify) – to send play/pause/next commands to the music player you are using.
- Location (optional) – only if you choose "Current location" in the Weather widget.
Network requests
GlassDock connects to the internet only for these widgets, and only when you enable them:
- Weather – sends the coordinates of the city you chose (or your location, if you opted in) to Open-Meteo to fetch the forecast.
- Stock – sends the ticker symbol you chose to Yahoo Finance to fetch quotes.
- Music (Spotify artwork) – downloads album artwork from the URL Spotify provides.
No identifiers, account details or usage data are sent with these requests.
Children
GlassDock does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with an updated date.
